What kind of Church are we?

We are a church whose goal it is to proclaim the Good News that Jesus Christ is Saviour and Lord. We accept the Bible as God's inspired and inerrant Word and as His will for our lives.

We are a Christian Church which identifies us as people who believe that God has provided us with the way of salvation through His Son Jesus who is the Christ.

 

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.

As Christians, we are committed to sharing God's love in Jesus Christ with our neighbours. We are a part of the total body of Christ which God through His Word and Spirit has called out from people of every nation and race.

We are affiliated with a denomination called the Reformed Churches in New Zealand. A Reformed Church refers to a branch of the church growing out of the Protestant Reformation that emphasizes the Lordship of Jesus Christ in every area of life. Guided by the Bible, God's Word, we believe Christians are called by God to a life of service in home and community. As a confessing church we hold to the historic creeds of the Christian Church.
